Jacob Freddy

Jacob Freddy is the solo project of Southern California native, Jacob Frericks. Taking inspiration from the vibrant California Indie pop scene as well as his favorite acts from the past, Frericks utilizes pop melodies to create intimate and gritty lofi arrangements with a touch of classic and unapologetic rock n roll.
Frericks got his start writing and playing music with his closest friends in the band "Bloom", which released a demos album in 2023. He subsequently self-released his solo project, "Songs From a Quiet Aliso Viejo Wasteland", in April of 2024 after relocating to New York. The album consists of 9 home recordings filled with emotional storytelling about his teenage suburban experience. Frericks now spends most of his time stocking shelves, attending classes, occasionally playing shows, and creating music in between whenever he gets the chance. He hopes that his music is able to inspire others to create, just as he was inspired by the community of bands and artists from where he grew up.
