appartement 3 is not a real label - it's a snapshot in time, born in a moment of global stillness and uncertainty. Launched at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the collective quickly became a home for exploring the cooler, darker shades of sound: Coldwave, Minimal Electronics, Synth Pop, and Dark Wave - always with the unmistakable echo of the 1980s close at heart, and a true DIY attitude in mind.

Now, as life moves on and the original appartement 3 - both studio and namesake - will cease to exist at the end of this year due to relocation, it's time to pause and reflect. The 33rd release marks the label’s first official compilation: not just a retrospective, but a reorientation. Many of the selected tracks carry a sense of movement and momentum, subtly echoing the spirit of transition that comes with leaving one space behind and stepping into another.
