The recording of PUNK TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER was true to CULL's DIY ethos and bare bones approach. Rejecting amp simulator plug-ins rampant in the industry today, CULL insisted on using their scratchy Marshall Amps and blown speakers. CULL has always had the ability to sniff out the bullshit and acutely understands sounding authentic requires warm valves and overdrive dials set to 11. Recorded virtually live off-the-floor, it was only guitar leads and vocals the necessary overdubs here. And to ensure the live and spontaneous essence of the band was captured, each of the 11 tracks was put down in first or second takes only.
