LO FI ve
LO FI ve is a short EP featuring five Lo Fi tracks: three instrumental, two vocals. I have been known to take years to finish an album, but I was gripped by the desire to simply “play” in my studio like I used to in the old days. Few mistakes were fixed, and little attention was paid to studio enhancements. The sound I was going for was how my guitar used to sound recorded directly to quarter-inch tape, and I think I’ve achieved that. This album features only my Ibanez, one keyboard, some samples and a microphone. The drum samples are purposely spare and quite retro. Hopefully listeners will accept this EP in the same spirit in which it was made: a short and fun diversion.
