Edgar Hurley

Jordan Wearn (they/them) is a queer folk singer-songwriter currently based in Narrm (Melbourne) who, as Edgar Hurley, creates delicate yet complex compositions elevated by a lyrically-driven delivery and an unassuming presence.

Creating their recent collection of songs Have Arms Will Hug from their bedroom, Jordan's songs sit between something purposeful, personal and the space you will find in-between.

Creating fun yet complex songs that explore, play and cannot be held down. Born and raised on the South Coast of the UK, Edgar immigrated to Brisbane, Australia when they were eighteen and started playing music (self taught) from twenty one.

July 2021 saw the release of the warmly received debut album The Blame Needs A Place which was heralded with the singles 'Sometimes' and 'Hurrah'.

Much of the lyrical content from the album was taken from a vast catalogue of poetry that Jordan has penned. A selection of which was published in the collection of works entitled You Gave Me A Lily and Now It's A Field that was offered as an accompaniment to the record.

Jordan initially graced the Brisbane music scene with previous moniker "Milow Pye", releasing a wonderful self-produced album entitled These Are Private Words Addressed To You In Public in 2018 and double single 'Time (Again)' / 'I'm Alive' in 2019 and continues to write and produce some of the most honest, open and endearing music imaginable.
