Andy Nechaevsky
Del Sur

Originally conceived as bonus material for the larger project, "Del Sur" evolved into a standalone meditation on Spain's profound historical intersections. Both of these projects are inspired by the experiences of Moriscos (Iberian Muslims after the Reconquista), Mozarabs (Christians living under Islamic rule), Calé (Iberian Romani people, known in Spain as Gitanos), and Sephardic Crypto-Jews — communities that navigated complex cultural identities across centuries of Spanish history. Nechaevsky approaches these themes through the lens of contemporary displacement and cultural crossroads.
